Continuous-variable codes are an expedient solution for quantum information processing and communication involving optical networks. Here we characterize the squeezed comb, a finite superposition of equidistant coherent states on line, its properties as continuous-variable encoding choice logical qubit. The comb is realistic approximation to ideal code proposed by Gottesman et al. [D. Gottesman, A. Kitaev, J. Preskill, Phys. Rev. A 64, 012310 (2001)], which fully protected against errors caused paradigmatic types noise in systems: damping diffusion. This no longer case space combs, robustness depends crucially parameters. We analyze phase space, highlighting their complicated interference features characterizing dynamics when exposed amplitude Gaussian diffusion processes. find that more suitable less error prone damping, speaks standard error-correction strategies employ linear amplification convert into easier-to-describe isotropic noise.
